I'm Jeff Ehrlich, and this video is from an open jam at the Paramount Theater. I signed up to play but didn't have anyone lined up, so I invited some musicians to join me on stage. What happened next was a lesson in musical trust and communication. Five of us—Dan Smith on piano, Richard Ambrose on guitar, CC on harmonica, Rick Singleton on bass, and me on drums— CC, Richard and I met for the first time just moments before our set. With a simple nod and a call for a "12-bar blues in the key of G," we launched into a spontaneous performance. The result is this incredible jam, born from pure, in-the-moment creativity.
